"Modern problems of Adaptive Optics"

5nd -year students of the Chair of General Physics and Wave Processes, Physics faculty, M.V. Lomonosov MSU (approx. 15 students)

Synopsis:

The course introduces the basics and principles of adaptive optics, including the problem of imaging through a distorting medium, adaptive phase correction, atmospheric phase distortions statistical analysis. The problems of anisoplanatism in atmospheric adaptive optics and field-of-view widening problem are also considered. The course includes basics of phase measurements and phase correction technique in adaptive optics and some its applications.
